Construction: An axial joint is perhaps the simplest expansion joint where movement extends or compresses the bellows.

Selection Criteria: Typically used for small axial movements in piping where spring rate and pressure thrust are small and the pipe run relatively stiff.

Main applications: Wide variety – HVAC, steam, exhaust gas.
